Sister taxon: Kichechia savagei

Type specimen: BMNH M. 19077a, b, a partial skull (Facial region of skull and anterior part of braincase with complete upper dentition on right side except P1). Its type locality is Rusinga Island, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Kenya.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Kenya (6 collections), Uganda (1)

Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
