Type specimen: MPEF-PV 3282, a partial skull (partial skull and fragments of left and right dentaries). Its type locality is Playa El Doradillo, which is in a Tortonian marine sandstone in the Puerto Madryn Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Playa El Doradillo
