Belongs to Globampyx according to B. S. Norford and R. J. Ross 1978

Sister taxa: Globampyx popovkiensis, Globampyx sexsegmentatus, Globampyx trinucleoides

Type specimen: GSC 42609, an exoskeleton (damaged but nearly complete exoskeleton). Its type locality is GSC 64579. North White River Section, which is in a Rangerian carbonate limestone in the Glenogle Shales Formation of British Columbia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at GSC 64579. North White River Section
