Type specimen: Holotype: p.m. 748, coord. 35.6,/111. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Spore). Its type locality is Pozo D-13, which is in an Eocene coastal horizon in the Río Turbio Formation of Argentina.
