Type specimen: Beijing Natural History Museum 84SHL111, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is 84GT1, west Tuanwang Village, Laiyang City, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at 84GT1, west Tuanwang Village, Laiyang City
