Sister taxa: Geotrupoides jiaoheense, Geotrupoides kezuoensis, Geotrupoides lithographicus, Geotrupoides songyingziensis
Type specimen: NIGP 124665, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Zhixin Forest Farm, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Dalazi Formation of China.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Zhixin Forest Farm
