Sister taxa: Gelasinotarbus bonamoae, Gelasinotarbus fimbriunguis, Gelasinotarbus heptops, Gelasinotarbus reticulatus
Type specimen: AMNH 43094, a set of appendages (nearly complete leg). Its type locality is SUNY-B 411 Blenheim-Gilboa Power plant, which is in a Givetian marine sandstone in the Panther Mountain Formation of New York.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at SUNY-B 411 Blenheim-Gilboa Power plant
