Type specimen: MCT 1730-R, a partial skeleton (Almost complete skull and lower jaw, proatlas, intercentrum, the axis and the 3rd cervical vertebra). Its type locality is São José Farm, which is in a Paleocene/Eocene fissure fill limestone in Brazil.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at São José Farm
