Type specimen: Its type locality is USGS 10629 (B.F. Smith Farm), Castle Hayne marl, Lenoir Co., North Carolina, which is in an Eocene marine marl in the Castle Hayne Formation of North Carolina.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Enisala village, Babadag Basin, Northern Dobrogea
