Type specimen: BMNH 34 SHL 113, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is West of Tuanwan, Laiyang basin, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at West of Tuanwan, Laiyang basin
