  • Praenucula applanans: NM L 27163 (Internal mould of the shell with conjoined valves). Its type locality is Osek, which is in a Sarka offshore shale in the Sarka Formation of the Czech Republic.
  • Praenucula sharpei: RA-I 2148jOR., a shell (Internal mould of a right valve showing the dentition). Its type locality is Cacemia beds, Navalpino, which is in an Oretanian transition zone/lower shoreface shale in the Navatrasierra Shale Formation of Spain.

Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Ordovician of the Czech Republic (3 collections), Morocco (1), Spain (1)
