Sister taxon: Alveolacupes primus

Type specimen: NIGP 70060, an elytra. Its type locality is KHG 77, Chengtanjiang section, Liuyang City, which is in a Rhaetian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Sanqiutang Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at KHG 77, Chengtanjiang section, Liuyang City
