Type specimens:
- Aphantomartus areolatus: Its type locality is Maes-y-cwmmer (Gwernau level), Monmouthshire, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in the Pennant Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom
- Aphantomartus pococki: MGL 1861, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Sabatier Pit, Anzin mines, which is in a Westphalian B terrestrial shale in France.
- Eophrynus waechteri: Bergschule Saarbrucken D/218, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Stangenmühle-Saar borehole, 620 m depth, which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial siliciclastic in the Saarbrucker Formation of Germany.
- Trigonomartus dorlodoti: University of Louvain 8907. Its type locality is Produits colliery, at Quaregnon, roof of 18 vein, which is in a Westphalian A terrestrial shale in Belgium.
