Belongs to Pachyaspis according to W. H. Fritz 1968

Sister taxa: Pachyaspis benxiensis, Pachyaspis deborra, Pachyaspis gallagari, Pachyaspis isabella

Type specimen: USNM 153609, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Pioche Shale, Bed 11, which is in a Delamaran carbonate shale/limestone in the Pioche Shale Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Pioche Shale, Bed 11
