Sister taxon: Berkeia glabellamersa

Type specimen: Columbia University 22285, a shell. Its type locality is 1 kilometer south of Taylors Falls, half kilometer north of Folsom Island, which is in a Steptoean coastal sandstone in the Franconia Formation of Minnesota.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at 1 kilometer south of Taylors Falls, half kilometer north of Folsom Island
