Type specimen: BMB 018443, a forewing. Its type locality is Thorness Bay, Bembridge Marls, Isle of Wight (BMB coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bembridge Marls Formation of the United Kingdom.
