Sister taxa: Nevadaphyllites glaberrimus, Nevadaphyllites microumbilicatus
Type specimen: MGL H-11-46011. Its type locality is Level Z-14, Reno Draw section 3, which is in a Planorbis marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): diameter 31.1, shell diameter 37.0
Distribution:
• Jurassic of Canada (3: British Columbia collections), United States (4: Nevada, Oregon)
Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
