Sister taxa: Leptopharsa antica, Leptopharsa colombiana, Leptopharsa evsyunini, Leptopharsa poinari, Leptopharsa tacanae

Type specimen: Poinar HE 4-8F, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Dominican amber (Poinar coll)
