Type specimen: QM F25507, a hindwing. Its type locality is 5 Mile Creek, western shore of Lake Wivenhoe, which is in an Anisian terrestrial siltstone in the Esk Formation of Australia.
Distribution: found only at 5 Mile Creek, western shore of Lake Wivenhoe
