Type specimen: USNM 135260, a shell. Its type locality is Percha Creek, 3 miles southeast of Hillsboro, which is in a Famennian marine shale/limestone in the Percha Shale Formation of New Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Percha Creek, 3 miles southeast of Hillsboro
