Type specimens:

  • Holcothyris acuminata: GSI Type No. 11756. Its type locality is Pangwoleng, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
  • Holcothyris pinguis: Its type locality is Bawgyo, left bank of R. Namtu opposite, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
  • Holcothyris undulata: Its type locality is Se-In, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.
