Sister taxon: Eolestes syntheticus

Type specimen: USNM 559047, a wing. Its type locality is Disbrow Creek, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn), which is in a Lutetian lacustrine - large shale in the Kishenehn Formation of Montana.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Disbrow Creek, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn)
