Type specimen: USNM 110070h, a valve (pedicle valve). Its type locality is 5 miles southeast of Rose Hill, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Poteet Formation of Virginia.

Distribution: found only at 5 miles southeast of Rose Hill
