Sister taxa: Buccinatormyia gangnami, Buccinatormyia magnifica
Type specimen: CES-015.2/CES-392.2, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is El Soplao amber, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Las Penosas Formation of Spain.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at El Soplao amber
