Type specimen: CM 26910, a set of teeth. Its type locality is Quarry G (Jebel Qatrani Formation) (= "upper sequence"), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Oligocene of Egypt (2 collections), Libya (3), Oman (1)

• Eocene of Namibia (1)

Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
