Sister taxa: Gelidorthis meloui, Gelidorthis perisiberiaensis
Type specimen: MPZ 4752, a valve (pedicle valve). Its type locality is Santa Catalina Hill. 45 meters, which is in a Berounian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Fombuena Formation of Spain.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Spain (3 collections)
