Belongs to Tympanoceras according to V. E. Ruzhentsev and M. F. Bogoslovskaya 1971

Sister taxa: Tympanoceras getinoi, Tympanoceras ibericum, Tympanoceras porrectum, Tympanoceras rugatum, Collectoceras dombarense

Type specimen: PIN 455/458, a shell. Its type locality is Dombar Hills, sample 27, which is in a Pendleian carbonate limestone in Kazakhstan.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 22.2

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of Kazakhstan (16 collections), the Russian Federation (1)

Total: 17 collections each including a single occurrence
