Type specimen: S-281, housed in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a cuticle. Its type locality is Blue Lake - St Bathans, which is in a Miocene/Miocene terrestrial mudstone in the Dunstan Formation of New Zealand.

Distribution: found only at Blue Lake - St Bathans
