Type specimen: Holotype: NC-004, stored in the Department of Environmental Biology, University of Adelaide., a sterile axis (Cuticle). Its type locality is Nelly Creek, which is in an Eocene floodplain sandstone/claystone in the Eyre Formation of Australia.

Distribution: found only at Nelly Creek
