Sister taxon: Jurassichelon moseri
Type specimen: PIMUZ A/III 514, a partial skeleton (a nearly complete skull and associated partial shell, cervical vertebrae, and postcranial elements). Its type locality is La Morelière, which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in France.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at La Morelière
