Sister taxa: Encoiloceras lajosi, Encoiloceras superbum

Type specimen: HNHM M.99.105, a shell. Its type locality is Aszofo I section, bed 5, which is in a Pelsonian deep-water limestone in the Felsoörs Formation of Hungary.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 69.0

Distribution: found only at Aszofo I section, bed 5
