Type specimen: UCMP 953, a partial skeleton (cranium and mandibIe, several cervical vertebrae and portions of fore and hind limbs). Its type locality is near Hatch's Gulch, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the John Day Formation of Oregon.
Distribution: found only at near Hatch's Gulch
