Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: USNM 546125, a partial skeleton (consisting of an incomplete skull, both right and left mandibles, an incomplete right scapula, and two carpals. The skull lacks the basicranium and tympanoperio). Its type locality is STRI 650009 , which is in a Messinian marine horizon in the Chagres Sandstone Formation of Panama.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at STRI 650009
