Type specimen: USNM 1168156e, a valve (pedicle valve). Its type locality is 0.2 miles southeast of Pratt Ferry, which is in a Chazyan open shallow subtidal limestone in the Pratt Ferry Formation of Alabama.

Distribution: found only at 0.2 miles southeast of Pratt Ferry
