Type specimen: GP/1T 1997, a valve (Internal mould of right valve). Its type locality is Mucambo Farmstead, Near the José de Freitas village, which is in a Morrowan/Desmoinesian carbonate dolomite in the Piauí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Mucambo Farmstead, Near the José de Freitas village
