Sister taxon: Gastroplites canadensis
Type specimen: PMO A32827, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 20, Stellingfjellet, Staupbreen, which is in an Albian marine shale in the Carolinefjellet Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 47.0
Distribution: found only at Locality 20, Stellingfjellet, Staupbreen
