Sister taxa: Cyclomylus biforatus, Cyclomylus intermedius
Type specimen: AMNH 19096, a skull. Its type locality is Loh, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
Ecology: fossorial herbivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of China (4 collections), Mongolia (17)
Total: 21 collections each including a single occurrence
