Type specimen: USNM 423698, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 12650, Thornton, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in the Belle Fourche Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at USGS Mesozoic 12650, Thornton
