Type specimen: USNM 423709, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 22871, Alzada, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in Montana.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at USGS Mesozoic 22871, Alzada
