Type specimen: USNM 423769, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D12052, Yellowrock Canyon, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in the Mancos Shale Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at USGS Mesozoic D12052, Yellowrock Canyon
