Type specimen: DGM 921a-M, a mandible (Incomplete right dentary with complete m1–4.). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
