Type specimen: USNM 386170, a limb element (right tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is Barbers Point, Oahu, which is in a Pleistocene reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Waimanalo Formation of Hawaii.

Distribution: found only at Barbers Point, Oahu
