Sister taxa: Yuomys cavioides, Yuomys eleganes, Yuomys huangzhuangensis, Yuomys huheboerhensis, Yuomys minggangensis, Yuomys yunnanensis
Type specimen: IVPP V 6694, a tooth. Its type locality is Ulan Shireh (SSPE), which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Shara Murum Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Ulan Shireh (SSPE)
