Type specimen: MNHN-LP-B.47301, a wing. Its type locality is Lac Chambon (Piton coll), which is in a Gelasian crater lake diatomite/volcaniclastic in France.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: there are no occurrences of Vulcagrion propedamontanum in the database
