Type specimen: AMNH 9626, a maxilla (an upper jaw with complete unworn dentition). Its type locality is Pipestone Springs, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial claystone in the Renova Formation of Montana.

• Eocene of Canada (1: Saskatchewan collection), United States (12: Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wyoming)
