Type specimens:

  • Cyonosaurus kitchingi: MMK 5028, a skull (A flattened and compressed skull). Its type locality is Blaaukrans, Graaff-Reinet, Cistecephalus AZ, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial siliciclastic in South Africa.
  • Alopecorhynchus rubidgei: RC 51, a skull. Its type locality is Patrysfontein, Wellwood, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.

Distribution:

• Permian of South Africa (8 collections)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
