Type specimens:
- Kuhnemys maortuensis: IVPP V 2864, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Maortu, which is in a Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Ulansuhai Formation of China.
- Aspideretes alashanensis: IVPP V 2865, a partial skeleton (carapace with its anterior part broken). Its type locality is Maortu, which is in a Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Ulansuhai Formation of China.
- Trionyx alashanensis: IVPP V2865, a partial shell.
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of China (2 collections)
