Type specimen: MNHN 1906-25, a partial skull (nearly complete, fused frontal, dorsally covered with hexagonal cephalic osteoderms that are sub-equal in size, missing the right posterior corner, with left pr). Its type locality is La Debruge, which is in a Priabonian mire/swamp marl in France.
