Sister taxa: Onchiodon labyrinthicus, Onchiodon langenhani, Onchiodon manebachensis, Onchiodon thuringiensis
Type specimen: Its type locality is Ruprechtice, Liberecky kraj, which is in an Autunian terrestrial mudstone/carbonate in the Broumov Formation of the Czech Republic
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution:
• Rotliegendes of the Czech Republic (1 collection)
• Permian of the Czech Republic (1)
