Type specimen: Naturkundemuseum, Osnabruck Coll. no. Barkhausen track 1, a footprint. Its type locality is Barkhausen tracksite (Unit 9), which is in a Kimmeridgian paralic sandstone/claystone in Germany.

Distribution: found only at Barkhausen tracksite (Unit 9)
